Trainers, for December’s Community Day on December 16 and 17, 2023, Pokémon GO is featuring two Timed Research stories. One provides Pokémon encounters as rewards, and the other offers items like King’s Rocks and a Magnetic Lure.
Throughout the event, Pokémon that were featured in 2023 Community Day events will be more common in the wild. They’ll also be key parts of reward encounters for Timed Research, giving trainers extra motivation to participate. Similarly, Pokémon from 2022’s Community Days are making a return, hatching from Eggs and appearing in raids, and they too will be available as Timed Research Rewards.
Each day of the event features a different set of Pokémon from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During these hours, there’s an increased chance of encountering Shiny versions, just like during their original Community Days. If you can’t make these specific times, don’t worry, all featured Pokémon will still appear from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time on both days.

There are two Timed Research tasks available for this event that are worth noting. Completing these tasks will reward you with King’s Rocks, Magnetic Lures, and encounters with various Pokémon from past Community Days in 2022 and 2023. This event is a great opportunity for trainers to expand their Pokémon collection and also stock up on valuable items.
