Kelly Osbourne stepped in deep sh-t on Tuesday. It was half-funny, half-sad, with a strong vein of “GIRL, STAHP.” Kelly was guest-hosting America’s new Algonquin Round Table, The View, and she and the other ladies were trying to take on Donald Trump’s history of saying derogatory crap about Mexicans (like how they’re all rapists and murderers). Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie Perez were leading the discussion, basically saying that most Latino voters do not care for Trump at all. Raven-Symone chimed in and even she didn’t step in it. Then Kelly decided to say something. And it went off the rails SO FAST.

Kelly Osbourne asked, “In what way does he think that people are going to vote for him after he’s just called them rapists and murderers?”

After Michelle Collins jumped in, Osbourne addressed Raven-Symoné and said, “I have a feeling that what is going on is that he is drumming up all of this following and he’s going to pull out right before the campaign…to get all of his voters to vote for the other Republican.”

“I said that a long time ago,” Raven-Symoné said.

Perez clarified the point Collins was trying to make, saying, “There are a lot of Latinos here in this country that do agree that the immigration problem is a problem and it does need to be addressed and it does need to be fixed. But making those comments—those racist comments—does not help”

“If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?” Osbourne said. “In the sense that…you know what I mean? But I’m saying that in L.A., they always…”

The other co-hosts were taken aback, and Perez said, “Latinos are not only the only people doing that.” Osbourne cut her off and said, “No, I didn’t mean it like that! Come on! I would never mean it like that! I’m not part of this argument.”

See what I mean? It’s both horrible and funny. It’s like Kelly screamed, “How dare Donald Trump say that Mexicans are rapists? Everyone knows Mexicans just maids and gardeners!” Oh, girl. Later in the show, Rosie Perez actually apologized TO Kelly, saying: “I want to apologize to this young woman once again for being overly sensitive….Kelly Osbourne is on our side and I was sensitive. My disdain should go to only Donald Trump, so I’m sorry, darling.” Nope. I mean, I appreciate that Rosie was trying to keep the peace, but Kelly deserves the backlash. That’s how she’ll learn. In the heat of the moment, she said what she really thinks and believes: that Mexicans immigrants are not violent assailants, but they are merely low-income workers on the edge of society. Which is more racist?

But Kelly still has some lessons to learn. After the backlash began in earnest, Kelly posted this to her Facebook & Instagram:

I want to start by saying I ALWAYS take responsibility for my actions. In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT. I whole-hearted f–ked up today. I don’t want to bullsh-t anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped mid-sentence by Rosie and couldn’t finish my point I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words. I should have known better as I was on The View and it was live. I’ve learned a very valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole. By the way I clean my own f–king toilets.

You know how you can tell that someone is racist? When they start their argument with “I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT.” Sorry, girl. We’re not going to take your word for it. Not after the toilet comment. And why in the world is she throwing Rosie Perez under the bus? Is it because Latinas should never interrupt a white woman pontificating about how she’s totally not racist, especially after said white woman just said something incredibly offensive?
